Caregivers must be able to care for themselves

meredithprendys

As a caregiver, stress that often accompanies caregiving may negatively impact your own health. A caregiver's emotional, mental, and physical wellbeing are connected and must be nurtured for in order to best care for another. The demands of caregiving may create difficulties in a person's ability to separate themselves and their own needs from their caregiving responsibilities, but it is imperative to find ways to obtain the support and resources you need, including validation, guidance, help, and time. Please reach out here for resources or if you have questions. You may also email practicethope@gmail.com or leave a secure message at 512-516-7632, and you will be called back promptly.
