To best sustain mental function, lowering your risk of memory loss and dementia as you age, it is imperative to maintain intellectual, physical, and social engagement. Whether you are experiencing cognitive impairment, continue, or begin, to exercise regularly and make healthy dietary choices (healthy fats, fibrous fruits and vegetables, lean proteins, stay well hydrated with water, etc.), get fresh air and sun in nature, and keep/find/build social networks.
